Five students of Delft University of Technology have created their own space business. And if you’re not too educated on that whole “space” thing, check out this nifty program.

Even more math textbooks!

Even more nude soccer!

By the way, if you were wondering how you should be reading this, MIT to the rescue.

Ever wanted to setup your own radio station using only your computer? Forget streaming it over the internet, now you can transmit it using FM. Also on the wireless front, an article showing how to connect to almost any wireless network (even if it’s not yours).

Also on the how-to front, how to lucid dream.

Ah… those silly Nazis.

These last few things aren’t new, but they’re new to you (I hope).
1. one red paperclip - the story of one man’s journey to trade one red paperclip for a house.
2. Housing Maps - combining Craigslist and Googlemaps in order to make real estate shopping even easier
3. In Passing… - one of the first “conversation blogs” (or whatever you want to call them). Not updated too regularly now, but if you’re just seeing it there are pages and pages of archives.
4. The Untitled Project - “the Untitled Project is a series of photographs of urban settings accompanied by a graphical text layout. The photographs have been digitally stripped of all traces of textual information.”
5. Mrs. Betty Bowers’ Christian Crack Whore Ministry
6. The Lonely Island - now that one of them is on SNL, this isn’t so new, but it’s still great (I recommend The ‘Bu).
7. Peoples Archive - “dedicated to collecting for posterity the stories of the great thinkers and creators of our time. Biologists or filmmakers, physicists or craftsmen, the people whose stories you see on this site are leaders of their field, whose work has influenced and changed our world.”
8. Comfort Stand Recordings - free free free music (with artwork and liner notes) from a lot of experimental bands. Maybe this is your kind of thing, maybe it is not, but either way it is a cool idea.

Finally, Bigfoot lives! OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

To commemorate the day: I have a dream

And now…

Girls, please, take the proper precautions this new year while you’re keeping fit. While you’re at it, make sure you’re eating well too.

“The dog Laika, the first living creature to orbit the Earth, did not live nearly as long as Soviet officials led the world to believe.”

Ever wish Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (self referential, I know) wasn’t only a movie? Well, some scientists at the University of California have just the thing for you. Then again, maybe your problem is alwaysforgetting those traumatic moments? Then Grab some soda for a quick memory boost.

When metaphysics just isn’t surreal enough, there’s always pataphysics. Confused? Wikipedia has a page on the subject (of course).

Channel 4 is one of the biggest reasons I am so jealous of anyone who lives in England. They always manage to come up with intriguing shows, and their website in general is a fun resource.

For everyone that isn’t lucky enough to live close to New York City, or lives close but is too lazy to do some walking, or is just interested in some history they might not have known, or… yeah. Virtual NYC Tour.

Then again, is the urbanization of the world even a good thing? James Lovelock would say no, among other warnings.
