Undress Me Robot is an online initiative aimed at introducing the internet community to the best music, books, and movies around. We are here to obliterate the perpetuation of the terrible indie-snob stereotype, while expressing our love of music, literature, and other culture-related things.
This site’s for the people; it does not shape the people. Share your opinions! If we are wrong or sound too pretentious, tell us! We promise never to scoff in your general direction, even if you’ve never heard of a band! We want to spread the word of those great bands that you might never have heard of and also share alternative opinions on some bands that you might have already read about. Help us do our thing! Listen to the undress me robot, then undress me, robot!
All emails concerning the following should be sent to info@undressmerobot.com.
Since this is largely a review site, the main way to get involved is to do reviews. We are always looking for new people to help with the website, and are happy to receive any submissions.
Generally speaking, we will accept any CD, movie, book, or comic that you want to review. Preference is given to newer releases, but no review shall be turned away on basis of timeliness.
(Postscript - if there is a CD you are interested in reviewing, but do not have and/or cannot obtain it, send an email to us about it. We will do our best to procure a promotional copy of the CD to be sent to you for review.)
If there is a band or author you are interested in interviewing, let us know (via email of course). Please limit requests to bands/authors in your area, or stopping through your area on tour. While we regret that our sphere of influence might not extend to such bands as The Flaming Lips or Sheryl Crow, we’ll give it our best shot.
As above, if there is any concert you are interested in attending (free, press pass or backstage pass) and reviewing, let us know. Same rules as above (the smaller the band, the more likely things will work out). Note: Do NOT contact us if you do not intend on reviewing the concert.
Beside the usual review fare, we are also in the market for some good features. Features include, but are not limited to, lists (or some sort), rants and raves, essays, and blogs. Of course, the term “Feature” is very open-ended, so if you have an idea separate from those, don’t be shy to pass it along as well.
A message to bands, labels, and other such entities wanting to have their material reviewed: If you are interested in having Undress Me Robot review your material, please send an email to the above address, containing the following information: Name of band or author, name of work, genre, preferred method of submission (for example, CD or digital download, book or PDF), and any other pertinent information. Thank you.
