Koufax Live

Koufax has been in my top 10 favorite bands for years now and I finally made the time to go out to one of their shows about 45 min away from my apartment. When I got there, there were a couple of local indie bands playing that kinda sucked. I was trapped at the bar drinking and smoking cigarettes for about an hour and-a-half, when suddenly Koufax started to set up their instruments. By that time the crowd had doubled to 10 people..haha. Yeah, it was very sad and frustrating to see a really solid and original indie/pop rock band ignored. Their previously released album, Social Life, brought Vagrant Records some positive feedback, even though their prized posession Dashboard Confessional still stood in power.
Then it was time for Koufax to take the stage, hoping their highly intoxicated selves would hit all the right chords without any hesitations. I never expected to see them play such a tight set, considering Koufax are known for being extremely trashed at pretty much every show they play. Although their newest album Hard Times Are In Fashion hasn't really caught that much of my attention (probably because I'm too lazy to purchase it), I'm sure its very well worth the listen.
